It turns out that the BBC are filming a scene for ‘Being Human’ right outside Clwb Ifor Bach. As a result, we’ve had to park in the production company’s car park, much to Neil’s delight. We’ll try to sneak into the background of a shot.

Tour day 2: we were “The Monroe Trigger” last night, and tonight we appear to be this. In the same week, someone’s shortened our name to “TMR”. The world is a confusing place sometimes.

Well, it’s been at least 5 years since Nick drove anything at all, let alone a long-wheel -base van.
Turns out that, in such a vehicle, without its functioning turbo-diesel, you really are at the mercy of the road: the slightest incline slowly saps your momentum, and God help you if you have to brake for anyone: it’ll be a good few miles before you get up enough speed again not to seriously inconvenience every other road user.
Also, as pictured, you should make sure you find out where the caravan parking is. Services don’t take too kindly to this kind of space-hogging.
On the plus side, no-one’s died, and we’re in Manchester ready to rock. Is anyone going to come along, though…?
UPDATE: no, it doesn’t look like anyone’s going to come along…

Little video except from day two of our album recording with the Monroe transfer. Album is untitled at the moment

Farewell, Pocklington. You’ve given us downpour & blown-out tents, sleepless nights & exhaustion, a dolphin blanket & some passing abuse.
Over the last 5 days, we’ve come up with six new pieces of music with Her Name Is Calla, that we’ll be adding to over the next few weeks back in London; if all goes according to plan, it should be finished by the end of September, and released in January 2011. Woo hoo.

Adam and Tom, from Her Name Is Calla, demonstrate the two-man drumming technique that’s made them household names.

Working on a new thing for our collab with Her Name Is Calla, for violin, ‘cello, saw, electronics & vox (and possibly viola & double bass). Nick’s written some chords for Adam’s lyrics, and you can see Rhiannon & Adam noodling away…
